Cardiac Anesthesiologist | Kansas City, MO

Position Overview

Full-time Cardiac Anesthesiologist position at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City, dedicated primarily to the CVOR at Mid America Heart Institute.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for high-volume cardiothoracic cases including heart and liver transplantation, LVAD implantation, aortic reconstruction, TAVR, CABG, valve procedures, and major vascular cases.
• Limited assignments outside CVOR in Main OR.
• Participate in dedicated CVOR home call separate from Main OR, trauma, and OB.

Qualifications

• Cardiac anesthesia fellowship completion or in process.
• TEE board eligible or certified.
• Recent cardiac anesthesia experience for those who have completed training.
• Doctorate degree required.

Facility Details

Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is the primary teaching hospital for UMKC School of Medicine with ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency. Mid America Heart Institute performs over 1,600 cardiothoracic, vascular, and hybrid procedures annually and more than 700 cardiopulmonary bypass cases.

Schedule & Call Requirements

Day shift with dedicated CVOR home call covering cardiac surgery, transplants, and vascular cases.
