Position Overview

Full-time anesthesiologist position at Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City covering main operating room cases including general, ortho, robotic thoracic, ENT, OB/GYN, urology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, GI lab, kidney transplants, and OOOR procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia in a collaborative care team model with medical direction at 1:2 or 1:3 ratios
• Infrequent personal provision of anesthesia
• In-house call shifts from 4p-7a with post-call day off; weekends split shifts
• Backup call team includes physician and anesthetist

Qualifications

• BC/BE anesthesiologists
• 1-3 years dedicated experience in general anesthesiology or recent completion of ACGME-accredited anesthesiology residency
• Fellowship training strongly encouraged, especially regional anesthesia for Acute Pain Service openings

Schedule and Call

In-house call 4p-7a with post-call day off. Weekends use split shifts. Call team mixes residents and CRNAs/AAs with physician/anesthetist backup.
