Position Overview

Per diem CRNA position at Geisinger Lewistown Hospital providing anesthesia care in the operating room for surgical, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under general supervision of an anesthesiologist. Includes preoperative evaluation and postoperative follow-up.

Key Responsibilities

• Anesthetize patients and select drugs for anesthesia and emergency treatment
• Induce and maintain anesthesia while monitoring patient status and adjusting medications
• Perform thorough preop evaluations including chart review
• Organize OR with equipment, monitors and drugs; perform diagnostic equipment checks
• Respond to codes and maintain airway
• Chart accurately into patient EMR and provide safe patient transport with sign-out report
• Serve as mentor and preceptor to peers, staff, residents, students and nurses

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Nursing required
• Basic Life Support Certification
• Licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
