Position Overview
Full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist position at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. Provides anesthesia care for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under general supervision of an anesthesiologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Anesthetizes patients and selects drugs for anesthesia and emergency treatment.
- Induces and maintains anesthesia, responds to codes, and maintains the airway.
- Monitors patients and adjusts medications as needed.
- Conducts thorough preop evaluations and organizes OR equipment and drugs.
- Charts accurately into patient EMR and transports patients safely with sign-out reports.
- Mentors and precepts peers, staff, residents, students, and nurses.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing required. Basic Life Support Certification, Licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania required.
Schedule
Rotation schedule with 40 scheduled weekly hours.
