Position Overview
Per diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist position at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Provides anesthesia care in the operating room for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under general supervision of an anesthesiologist.
Key Responsibilities
- Anesthetizes patients and selects drugs for anesthesia and emergency treatment.
- Induces and maintains anesthesia while monitoring patient status and adjusting medications.
- Conducts preoperative evaluations and postoperative follow-up.
- Responds to codes and maintains airways.
- Charts accurately in patient EMR and transports patients safely with sign-out reports.
- Mentors and precepts staff, residents, students, and nurses.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Nursing required. Certifications include Basic Life Support, Licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
