Position Overview

Full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist role at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The position supports surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures under general supervision of an anesthesiologist.

Key Responsibilities

• Anesthetize patients and select drugs for anesthesia and emergency treatment.
• Induce and maintain anesthesia, respond to codes, and maintain the airway.
• Monitor patients and adjust medications as needed.
• Conduct thorough preop evaluations including chart review.
• Organize OR rooms with equipment, monitors, and drugs.
• Chart accurately into patient EMR and transport patients safely with sign-out reports.
• Serve as mentor and preceptor to peers, staff, residents, students, and nurses.

Qualifications

Master's Degree in Nursing required. Certifications include Basic Life Support, Licensed Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, and Licensed Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.

Schedule

Rotation shifts with 40 scheduled weekly hours.

Facility Details
