Position Overview

The Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at the University of New Mexico invites applications for a full-time Open Rank position as Program Director for the Master of Science in Anesthesia program.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee curriculum development, implementation, and review for currency, rigor, and accreditation compliance.
• Hire, mentor, and evaluate full-time and part-time faculty.
• Manage student recruitment, admissions, advising, retention, and progression to graduation.
• Guide program assessment, prepare reports for accrediting bodies, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage program budgets, resources, and daily operations.

This position allocates 90% effort to education Program Director duties and 10% to clinical CAA duties.

Qualifications

Open rank position at Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level.
