VA Anesthesiologist | Albuquerque, NM

Position Overview

Full-time Anesthesiologist position at the New Mexico VA Health Care System in Albuquerque, NM. This role focuses on delivering safe anesthetic care to Veterans, supervising CRNAs and residents, and participating in perioperative optimization and pain management.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver excellent safe anesthetic care to Veterans
• Manage postoperative care including surgical ICU participation
• Provide anesthesia in OR and non-OR locations
• Participate in preoperative optimization of surgical patients
• Teach residents from the University of New Mexico
• Administer acute and chronic pain management services
• Supervise CRNAs and anesthesia residents

Schedule

Monday-Friday, 6:30am-3:00pm with no call requirements mentioned.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary range: $350,000 - $400,000 per year
• Recruitment/relocation incentive eligibility

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine or equivalent from accredited institution
• U.S. citizenship required
• Full unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory
• Board certification preferred
• Must pass pre-employment physical, background check, and drug screening
