Position Overview

Cardiac CRNA position at WVU Medicine Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. The role focuses on the Heart and Vascular Institute with primary assignment to open heart, hybrid cardiac, vascular, thoracic and cardiac cath lab procedures. The CRNA also covers general cases at Ruby Memorial Main Anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthetic care for all patient types and procedures under supervising or medically directing physician.
• Administer anesthesia and monitor patient response during surgery and procedures.
• Perform airway management, invasive monitoring, arterial punctures and resuscitative care.
• Document patient status and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Participate in pre-anesthetic evaluation, surgical pause and post-operative management.
• Complete annual cardiac anesthesia core competencies and maintain 25 open cardiac or hybrid procedures yearly.

Qualifications

• Current West Virginia RN licensure.
• Board certified or recertified by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
• ACLS within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year experience as a CRNA.
• Maintain 15 CPC Class-A continuing education credits annually in cardiac anesthesia.
• Advanced experience in invasive hemodynamic monitoring.

Schedule

Full time, 40 hours per week. May include nights, weekends, holidays and call.
