Position Overview

Part-time 0.6 FTE CAA position at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. The role offers flexible shifts in a collaborative anesthesia care team model with medical direction.

Schedule and Call Requirements

No call, no overnights, and no weekends. Flexible shifts available including 7a-3p, 7a-5p, and 7a-7p. Guaranteed post-call time off when applicable.

Practice Model and Responsibilities

Supervision ratios of 1:2, 1:3 (ideal), and 1:4 (rare). Peripheral nerve blocks required with strong ultrasound regional skills. Wide variety of cases excluding major trauma, transplant, and OB. Cardiac cases handled by separate team. Patient population includes healthy pediatrics from 6 months and up. Level 3 trauma center with patient draw base over 500,000.

Qualifications

BC/BE, ACLS, and BLS required. Active or eligible Indiana license. New graduates welcome. Team-oriented with excellent communication skills and commitment to lifelong learning.

Compensation and Benefits

Above average base salary with annual retention and performance bonuses. Option for additional shift work. 18 days PTO accrued annually. Hearty sign-on bonus and relocation assistance eligible. IU Health Arnett Hospital is a 204-bed full-service hospital with 6 surgical suites, adjacent outpatient surgery center, and CERENET EMR. Community site for medical education with teaching opportunities for residents and SAA students.
