Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist | Seneca, PA

Position Overview

Locum tenens anesthesiologist role in Seneca, PA. Long-term contract up to 112 weeks through July 2027. Start date June 4, 2025. 8-hour shifts, 36 hours per week from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM plus required on-call pager coverage.

Schedule and Call

Shift duration 8 hours. Weekly hours 36. On-call pager coverage required.

Case Mix

General, orthopedic, obstetric, and pediatric cases. Perioperative and regional anesthesia opportunities.

Practice Model

MD-to-CRNA ratio typically 1:2 or 1:3. Collaborative practice with CRNA support. Six anesthesia rooms. Epic EMR.

Compensation

Weekly estimated pay $9,460 to $9,970. Car rental or mileage stipend $250 weekly. Lodging or housing stipend $110 per day.

Requirements

MD or DO degree. Completion of approved anesthesia residency. Board certification in anesthesiology required. Minimum 1 year clinical anesthesia experience. Ability to obtain Pennsylvania license preferred. ECFMG and FLEX certification required.

Responsibilities

Direct anesthesia department activities. Perform pre-anesthesia assessments. Provide induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitor patients and perform interventions. Supervise CRNAs. Document in Epic EMR. Participate in quality initiatives.
