Position Overview

Cardiac Anesthesiologist position at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY. Full-time role with North American Partners in Anesthesia.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary of $600K plus $25K annual cardiac stipend. Sign-on incentive up to $100K. Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures. Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent. Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients. Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitor patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed. Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Case Assignments

Endo, general, labor and delivery, radiology, ortho, electrophysiology, GYN, vascular, neuro, uro, cardiac, thoracic, ENT, and plastics.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited college of medicine. TEE proficiency required. Completion of cardiac fellowship. ECFMG and FLEX. Completion of approved residency in anesthesia. Currently licensed as a physician.

Vassar Brothers Medical Center is a 350-bed facility overlooking the Hudson River. Features include a patient pavilion with 294 private rooms, 30-room ICU, 13 surgical suites, and Level III neonatal ICU. Part of Nuvance Health with the area's first cardiothoracic surgery program between Westchester County and Albany.
