Position Overview

Board-certified or board-eligible Anesthesiologist position at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital, a 300-bed Level III trauma center in Plattsburgh, NY. Full-time role with mixture of team-based and solo practice. J-1 and H-1B visa sponsorship available.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary of $603,613 plus $50,000 sign-on bonus. Additional $60,000 student loan repayment for qualified loans. $8,000 annual CME allowance with 10 meeting days. $10,000 relocation assistance. Call pay for extended hours.

Schedule & Call Requirements

Equitably shared call with typically one 24-hour first call and one second call per week. Second-call providers within 30-minute radius and generally released by 1 PM next day. Home call with 15-minute response time. Flexible scheduling options to adjust call volume. 8-hour first shifts and 6-hour post-second shifts plus approximately 30 additional shifts annually. 25 vacation days for 1.0 FTE.

Practice Details

8 full-time anesthesiologists and 6 CRNAs. 9 ORs, labor and delivery, and ambulatory surgery center. No open-heart, intracranial neurosurgery, or intensive pediatric cases. EPIC EMR. Opportunities to work with family medicine and emergency medicine residents. Option for faculty appointment at Larner College of Medicine at the University of Vermont with dependent tuition scholarship benefit.
