Position Overview

Cardiac Anesthesiologist position at St. Mary's General Hospital in Passaic, New Jersey. MD-only model with anesthesiology residency program. Hospital is a 293-bed acute care facility offering cardiovascular services, cancer care, maternal-child health, and outpatient behavioral health.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary of $575K. Sign-on incentive up to $100K over 3 years. Cardiac stipend of $25K. Comprehensive benefits include health, life, vision, dental, disability, and AD&D insurance. Schedule & Call Requirements

Monday through Friday schedule with low utilization of call requirement.

Case Mix

Cardiac cases with a mix of general anesthesia. No pediatric cases. No trauma cases.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures. Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent. Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients. Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitor patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed. Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited college of medicine. TEE proficiency required. Completion of cardiac fellowship. Completion of approved residency in anesthesia. Currently licensed as a physician. ECFMG and FLEX certification as applicable.
