Pediatric Anesthesiologist | Syracuse, NY

Position Overview

A prominent facility in the Syracuse, New York area seeks a full-time Pediatric Anesthesiologist for a role focused primarily on pediatric cases (approximately 90% of workload) with exposure to complex adult cases including thoracic, vascular, neurosurgery, trauma, regional anesthesia, and outpatient surgery. No OB cases required. Pediatric fellows nearing completion are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for pediatric surgical and procedural cases from neonates to adolescents
• Conduct pre-operative evaluations and develop individualized anesthetic plans
• Administer and monitor anesthesia with adaptations for pediatric physiology
• Manage patients in PACU and handle emergent situations
• Deliver general anesthesia for adult cases as needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and participate in quality improvement initiatives
• Collaborate with surgeons and healthcare teams

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology with fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology
• Valid New York medical license or eligibility
• Strong clinical skills in pediatric and diverse adult anesthesia
• Excellent communication skills with pediatric patients and families
