Position Overview

Core faculty anesthesiologist role at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center, an affiliate of University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria. The department launched a 4-year categorical anesthesiology residency in July 2024 with approval for 32 residents.

Schedule and Call

3 weeks on, 1 week off. Two 16-hour call shifts during the working weeks: one in-house and one from home. Post-call days are off.

Compensation and Benefits

Clinical base salary range $650,000-$700,000. Signing bonus of $100,000. Student loan repayment and counseling up to $100,000. 401K with 5% match and 457b. Occurrence-based malpractice coverage. Practice Details

Faculty positions rarely supervise CRNAs. Subspecialty training welcomed in pediatrics, cardiovascular/cardiothoracic, pediatric CV, critical care, and pain. Potential for leadership opportunities. Part-time options available. H-1B eligible site.

Qualifications

Board certified or board eligible in anesthesiology. Licensed to practice in Illinois. DEA and Illinois narcotic prescribing license. Eligible for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal programs. Eligible for OSF malpractice and liability coverage.
