Position Overview

Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist position with the Veterans Health Administration in Madison, Wisconsin. The role provides anesthesia services in inpatient and outpatient settings for patients of varying complexity.

Schedule and Call Requirements

Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm. No call or telework.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range $207,274 to $292,300 per year. Eligible for Education Debt Reduction Program with up to $200,000 in loan repayment. Federal benefits include health, vision, dental, and term life insurance; traditional pension with 5-year vesting; 401K with up to 5% VA contribution; 50 days paid time off annually (26 annual leave, 13 sick leave, 11 holidays). Key Responsibilities

Administer anesthesia including pre-anesthesia evaluation, induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care. Develop comprehensive anesthesia plans for local, regional, general, and monitored anesthesia. Collaborate with healthcare teams, provide staff education, and serve as preceptor. Prescribe preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative medications as privileged.

Qualifications

U.S. citizenship required. Must hold full, unrestricted license from any U.S. state or territory. CRNA certification required. English language proficiency required. Subject to background investigation and pre-employment physical.
