Position Overview

Part-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist position at UPMC East in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. The role is non-exempt hourly with shift options of 8, 10 or 12 hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia and related care including pre-anesthetic preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence and post-anesthesia care.
• Assume accountability for controlled substances per department, hospital, state and federal guidelines.
• Assist with teaching and evaluation of newly hired CRNAs, GRNAs and SRNAs.
• Participate in the Quality Improvement process through documentation, incident reporting and education.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia education program required. Current Pennsylvania RN license required. Board certified or eligible by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists required. AHA-approved ACLS/PALS and BLS/CPR required.
