Position Overview

Obstetric Anesthesiologist position at Lehigh Valley Health Network (LVHN), part of Jefferson Health, in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Full-time role focused on obstetric anesthesia at LVH-Cedar Crest and LVH-Muhlenberg campuses.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for more than 4500 deliveries annually across both campuses.
• Collaborate with in-house obstetricians, midwives, residents, and maternal fetal medicine specialists available 24/7.
• Participate in multidisciplinary teams for cardiac disease in pregnancy, neurologic disease in pregnancy, and complicated obstetric surgical procedures.
• Work in facilities with 10 labor and delivery rooms per location, Level IV NICU at Cedar Crest, and Level II NICU at Muhlenberg.

Qualifications

Board-certified or board-eligible obstetric anesthesiologist. Opportunity to lead teams and engage in education and clinical research.

Facility Details

Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest and Lehigh Valley Hospital-Muhlenberg campuses. Remodeled unit at Cedar Crest scheduled for completion in June 2025. LVHN is a Magnet hospital with multiple 'A' safety grades.
