Key Responsibilities

Administers or supervises anesthesia for procedures. Provides general, regional, local and monitored anesthesia care. Performs clinical teaching to residents, medical students and nurse anesthetists. Responds to emergencies with airway management and resuscitative care. Conducts preoperative reviews and implements anesthetic plans. Maintains compliance with policies and participates in research.

Qualifications

Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or American Osteopathic Anesthesia Association. Valid New Jersey medical, CDS and DEA licenses. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications. Demonstrates knowledge for neonatal through geriatric populations.

Cooper Norcross University Hospital is a 663-bed Level I trauma center and the busiest in South Jersey. Affiliated with Cooper Norcross Medical School of Rowan University. Operates MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper and multiple outpatient facilities.

Schedule & Call Requirements

Full-time position with willingness to work off hours for emergencies as needed.

Compensation

Hourly rate $182.69 to $286.09. Salary offer varies based on experience, qualifications and internal equity.
