Position Overview

Full-time academic Anesthesiologist position at Cooper Norcross Health in Camden, New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities

Administers or supervises anesthesia for procedures. Provides general, regional, local and monitored anesthesia care. Performs clinical teaching to residents, medical students and nurse anesthetists. Responds to emergency situations with airway management and resuscitative care. Conducts preoperative patient assessments and implements appropriate anesthetic plans.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree required. Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or American Osteopathic Anesthesia Association. Valid New Jersey medical, CDS and DEA licenses. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.

Facility Details

Cooper Norcross University Hospital is a 663-bed Level I trauma center and the only such facility in South Jersey. Affiliated with Cooper Norcross Medical School of Rowan University. Operates MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper and multiple outpatient surgery centers.

Compensation

Hourly rate range $182.69 to $286.09. Salary offer varies based on experience, qualifications and internal equity.

Schedule and Additional Information

Position involves standing and walking throughout the workday with occasional lifting. Work environment may include exposure to minimum anesthetic gases. Equal opportunity employer.
