Key Responsibilities

Administers or supervises anesthesia for procedures. Provides general, regional, local and monitored anesthesia care. Performs clinical teaching to residents, medical students and nurse anesthetists. Responds to emergencies with airway management and resuscitative care. Conducts preoperative assessments and implements anesthetic plans.

Qualifications

Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or American Osteopathic Anesthesia Association. Valid New Jersey medical, CDS and DEA licenses. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.

Cooper Norcross University Hospital in Camden is a 663-bed Level 1 Trauma Center and the only one in South Jersey. Affiliated with Cooper Norcross Medical School of Rowan University. Operates MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper and multiple outpatient surgery centers.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate range $182.69 to $286.09. New Jersey Pay Transparency Act disclosure provided. Equal opportunity employer.

Schedule & Call Requirements

Willingness to work off hours for emergencies required. Standing and walking most of the workday with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
