Position Overview

Full-time academic Anesthesiologist position at Cooper Norcross University Hospital, a 663-bed Level I trauma center in Camden, New Jersey. Affiliated with Cooper Norcross Medical School of Rowan University.

Key Responsibilities

Administers or supervises anesthesia for procedures. Provides general, regional, local and monitored anesthesia care. Performs clinical teaching to residents, medical students and nurse anesthetists. Responds to emergencies with airway management and resuscitative care. Conducts preoperative assessments and implements anesthetic plans.

Qualifications

Board eligible or board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology or American Osteopathic Anesthesia Association. Valid New Jersey medical, CDS and DEA licenses. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.

Facility Details

Cooper Norcross University Hospital is the only Level I trauma center in South Jersey. The health system includes MD Anderson Cancer Center at Cooper and operates multiple hospitals and outpatient centers.

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly rate range $182.69 to $286.09. Full-time W-2 position with academic affiliation and teaching opportunities.

Schedule & Call Requirements

Willingness to work off hours for emergency purposes as needed.
