Position Overview

Part time CRNA role at Forbes Hospital providing anesthetic care in the surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, evaluates, and implements the anesthetic management for all patients presenting for anesthesia care and provides accurate medical record documentation.
• Provides continuous observation of patients under anesthetic care and corrects abnormal patient responses, involving attending physician as needed.
• Participates in performance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Adheres to legal and ethical standards of nursing and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Acts as a clinical resource to the interdisciplinary health care team and may mentor new staff or students.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists.
• CPR, PALS, and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association.
• Act 34, Act 33, and Act 73 clearances.
