Position Overview

Part time CRNA position at West Penn Hospital providing anesthetic care for patients in the surgical setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, evaluate and implement anesthetic management for all patients presenting for anesthesia care.
• Provide continuous observation of patients under anesthetic care and correct abnormal responses.
• Participate in performance and quality improvement initiatives.
• Adhere to legal and ethical standards of nursing and the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
• Act as clinical resource to the interdisciplinary team and mentor new staff or students.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure through the eNLC.
• Certification as a Registered Nurse Anesthetist by the NBCRNA.
• CPR, ACLS and PALS from American Heart Association.
• Act 34, Act 33 and Act 73 clearances.
