Position Overview

Full-time BE/BC Anesthesiologist position at St. Joseph Healthcare, an 80-bed acute care hospital in Bangor, Maine. The role supports 6 operating rooms and 4 endoscopy suites with a case mix of 40% orthopedic, 30% general surgery, and 30% neurosurgery, plastic surgery, podiatry, and gynecology.

Key Responsibilities

• 50/50 split between direct patient care and medical direction of CRNAs in a 1:4 staffing model.
• Average daily volume of 15-20 cases across OR suites and 35 endoscopy procedures.

Schedule and Call

• 1 in 7 call schedule with 30-minute response time, not in-house.
• 85 days off per year (40 PTO days plus 44 post-call days).
• No cardiothoracic, trauma, or obstetrics cases.

Compensation and Benefits

• Base compensation of $525,000.
• Student loan repayment of $20,000 per year with no maximum.
