Pediatric Anesthesiologist | Dayton, OH

Position Overview

Fellowship-trained Pediatric Anesthesiologist position at Shriners Children's Ohio in partnership with Dayton Children's Hospital. The role is based at Shriners Children's Ohio on the Dayton Children's campus with 20-40% of time at Dayton Children's.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for craniofacial surgery, cleft lip and palate repair, acute burn care, burn reconstruction, and plastic and reconstructive procedures.
• You will use regional anesthesia, ultrasound-guided blocks, and advanced airway management.
• Run one operating room daily in an all-MD model with no CRNA supervision.
• Perform preoperative assessments and occasional PACU care.
• Participate in rotating 1-in-4 home call.

Qualifications

• Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology required.
• Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology.
• Eligible for Ohio medical licensure.
• MD or DO.

Schedule and Call

Surgical schedules vary from one to five days per week. Rotating 1-in-4 home call schedule. No resident or fellow teaching responsibilities.

Practice Model

All-MD model without CRNA supervision. Approximately 90% of clinical time in the operating room.
