Position Overview
Nurse Anesthetist II PRN position at Houston Methodist Texas Medical Center providing pre-anesthesia, anesthesia and post-anesthesia services in a clinical, research and academic environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher from accredited school of Nursing
- Completion of Nurse Anesthesia program
- Four years of anesthesia experience
- Texas RN and APRN-CRNA licensure
- NBCRNA certification
- BLS and ACLS (AHA)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pre-anesthesia, anesthesia and post-anesthesia care
- Place and maintain epidural, arterial, central venous and pulmonary artery catheters
- Administer anesthesia for cardiac, vascular and thoracic surgery
- Respond to emergency situations with airway management and ACLS
- Participate in research and education of nurse anesthesia students
Schedule
- Day shift
- On-call required
- May require travel within Houston metropolitan area
