Position Overview

Full-time Anesthesiologist position at Black Hills Surgical Hospital in Rapid City, SD. The practice uses a care team supervision model with three Anesthesiologists and twenty-two CRNAs covering eleven operating rooms.

Key Responsibilities

• Robust regional practice with approximately 6000 blocks per year using GE ultrasound units.
• Oversight of pre and post anesthesia care units and pre-anesthesia testing clinic.
• Collaboration with surgeons and nursing on complex patients.
• Flexible shifts with minimal weekend engagement.

Qualifications

• BE/BC Anesthesiologist (M.D. or D.O.).
• Completion of ACGME-accredited residency/fellowship in Anesthesia.
• Board certification required within five years of residency completion.
• Minimum 200 anesthesia cases in the last 24 months for experienced applicants.

Schedule and Call

Call frequency 1:14. Flexible shifts with minimal weekend engagement.
