Position Overview

Medical Director, Pre-Anesthesia Clinic position at UW Health in Madison, Wisconsin. The role combines 0.2 FTE physician leadership with 0.75-0.8 FTE clinical practice in anesthesia.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the UW Health Pre-anesthesia Assessment Steering Committee.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to create a best-practice, patient-centered model for pre-anesthesia assessment and perioperative care.
• Oversee business planning and operational activities for the clinic in partnership with the clinic nurse manager.
• Identify and review marketing trends, clinical best practices, and develop future plans for the Pre-anesthesia Assessment Clinic.

Qualifications

• M.D. or D.O. required.
• Board certified with active medical license required.
• Two years as a board-certified anesthesiologist required.
• Five years as a board-certified anesthesiologist preferred.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Hours may vary to meet operational needs.
