Position Overview

Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant role at UW Health in Madison, WI. Work schedule is 0.75-1.0 FTE with 8, 10, 12, or 14 hour shifts. Weekend and PM commitments optional for extra pay.

Compensation & Benefits

Pay range $238,000 - $333,000 per year. New graduate students eligible for up to $150,000 student loan repayment over five years. Practicing CAAs may receive up to $75,000 sign-on bonus. Relocation assistance may be available. Benefits include health and dental insurance, retirement plans, two-week paid parental leave, 47 days PTO (22 vacation, 12 sick, 8 holidays, 5 CME), and tuition benefits.

Schedule & Call Requirements

Primary work location with flexibility across University Hospital, American Family Children's Hospital, East Madison Hospital, Madison Surgery Center, and Digestive Health Center. Some weekend, night, holiday, and pager call may apply.

Qualifications

Master's degree from accredited AA program. Active WI Anesthesiologist Assistant license and NCCAA certification required.

Practice Model

Medically directed care model with UW Department of Anesthesiology faculty. Academic setting with opportunities for S-AA education. Case mix includes neuro, spines, ortho trauma, ob/gyn, transplant, plastics, trauma, cath lab, and outpatient surgery.
