Position Overview
Per diem anesthesiologist position with Somnia Anesthesia at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Oxnard, CA.
Compensation
Per diem rate of $2000 per day. Additional stipends and hourly pay for call duty available.
Schedule and Call
Variety of shifts including 8s, 10s, and 12s. Typical day runs 7 am to 5 pm. All call from home. Weekend coverage only. No OB call requirement for MDs.
Practice Environment
MDs work their own cases with collaborative approach to CRNAs. Cardiac call, open hearts, and structural heart cases staffed by cardiac anesthesia physicians. 8 ORs plus 2 OBs at main site with 8036 cases per year.
Requirements
Current CA license. Cardiac fellowship. Board certification required. BLS, ACLS, and PALS required. New graduates welcome.
Facility
St. John's Regional Medical Center is a 365-bed acute care hospital. Designated STEMI Receiving Center and Thrombectomy-Capable Stroke Center.
