Position Overview

Medical Director of Obstetric Anesthesiology position at St. Joseph's Medical Center in Stockton, CA. This is a 1099 role in an ACT model with primary focus on obstetrics.

Compensation

$13,690.48 weekly.

Practice Environment

2 obstetric operating rooms. 8-10 labor and delivery rooms. Over 3000 deliveries annually. Level III NICU with 30 beds. Primary assignment to obstetrics with periodic rotation to main OR and NORA. Collaborate with obstetricians, nursing, and hospital leadership. Participate in monthly QI, QC, and PI safety committees.

Team

Anesthesiology department has 12 physicians and over 30 independent-practice CRNAs covering up to 19 locations daily.

Qualifications

Active California state license. BC/BE in Anesthesiology. Obstetrical anesthesia experience required. Demonstrated leadership experience preferred. Experience in high-acuity obstetric environment. ACLS, BLS, DEA required.

Facility

St. Joseph's Medical Center is a 355-bed non-profit regional hospital. Part of CommonSpirit Health. Features an anesthesia residency program started in 2021 with subspecialty training in cardiac, obstetrics, critical care, pain, and pediatrics.
