Cardiac Anesthesiologist | Rochester, NY

Position Overview

Fellowship-trained Cardiac Anesthesiologist position at Rochester Regional Health in Rochester, NY. Full-time role focused on cardiac, thoracic, vascular, and general cases with 60-70% cardiac and thoracic time.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for CABG, valve repair/replacement, LVAD, TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman procedures.
• Deliver thoracic and high-complexity vascular anesthesia.
• Practice in personally performed and supervisory models with CRNAs.
• Participate in equitable physician scheduling for case selection flexibility.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
• ACGME-accredited Cardiac Anesthesia Fellowship completed.
• Advanced Perioperative TEE certification.
• Eligible for New York medical licensure.

Schedule and Call

• One weekday cardiac call per week from home.
• One cardiac weekend call every 5-8 weeks from home with 10% activation rate.
• Reduced in-house general overnight call approximately once per month with guaranteed post-call day off.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range $400,000-$550,000. No non-compete clauses. Physician-led department with autonomy in scheduling.
