Key Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia for general surgery, cardiac, neurosurgery, orthopedics, gynecology, ophthalmology, otolaryngology, and thoracic cases. Manage pain relief, critical care, and post-anesthesia recovery. Supervise residents and SRNAs.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine required. Licensed Medical Doctor in Pennsylvania. H-1B candidates encouraged. Alternate Entry Pathway candidates welcome.

Facility Details

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center has 12 operating rooms, 2 EP suites, 4 endoscopy rooms, and 2 C-section suites. Teaching hospital affiliated with Geisinger Anesthesia Residency and Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary $500,000, $560,000+ with experience. Optional overtime at $275/hour. Forgivable recruitment loan of $200,000 amortized over 4 years. 9% employer retirement contribution up to $24,500 annually. CME allowance up to $4,500. 12 weeks off annually. Malpractice insurance provided. Relocation assistance fully paid. Medical, dental, and vision coverage available.

Schedule & Call Requirements

Shift-based schedule with rotation. 40 scheduled weekly hours. No PTO or CME accrual on this schedule.
