Position Overview

Cardiac or Pediatric Anesthesiologist position at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Full-time role at a Level I trauma center with broad case mix excluding heart/lung transplants and burns.

Key Responsibilities

Provide anesthesia for nearly all case types. Support 13 non-OR locations including GI, cath lab, interventional radiology, obstetrics, and MRI. Additional subspecialty compensation available for pediatric and cardiac teams.

Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine required. Licensed Medical Doctor in Pennsylvania. H-1B candidates encouraged. Alternate Entry Pathway candidates welcome.

Facility Details

Geisinger Medical Center is licensed for 475 beds including 89 pediatric beds. Designated Comprehensive Stroke Center. Physically connected to Geisinger Janet Weis Children's Hospital. 31 operating rooms.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary $500,000, $560,000+ with experience. Annual salary increases. Forgivable recruitment loan of $200,000. Fully paid relocation. 9% employer retirement contribution up to $24,500 annually. 12 weeks off per year. CME allowance up to $4,500. Optional overtime at $275/hour. Medical, dental, vision, and malpractice coverage provided.

Schedule & Call Requirements

Flexible schedule with 12 weeks off each year. Shift-based schedule. Position works on a shift-based schedule and does not accrue PTO or CME days.
