Locum Tenens Anesthesiologist | Brockton, MA

Position Overview

Locum tenens general anesthesiologist position supporting a collaborative anesthesia team at a 260-bed healthcare program in Brockton, Massachusetts. The role covers diverse adult surgical and procedural cases across eight anesthetizing sites.

Schedule and Call

Five shifts per week with 8-hour day shifts and some 10-hour weekday shifts. Main OR coverage runs Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Call coverage includes Monday through Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. plus 24-hour weekend call.

Compensation

Weekly estimated pay of $10,400 to $11,555. This is a 1099 contract position with no employee benefits.

Contract Details

Start date November 16, 2026. Contract duration 13 weeks. Electronic medical records include Meditech and Medaxion Pulse.

Requirements

At least 1 year of anesthesiology experience. Completion of an accredited anesthesiology residency. Board certification or board eligibility in anesthesiology. Active Massachusetts medical license or eligibility. Ability to manage a broad range of adult cases.

Responsibilities

Provide safe anesthesia care for bariatric, ENT, gynecology, interventional radiology, total joint orthopedics, plastics, podiatry, spine, thoracic, urology, and vascular cases. Evaluate patients preoperatively, deliver intraoperative management and post-anesthesia care. Participate in scheduled call and collaborate with CRNAs and other team members. Document care accurately.
