Position Overview

Per diem Anesthesiologist needed at Surgical Center of Morehead City, North Carolina. Care team model with focus on giving everyone a voice while supporting and respecting team members.

Schedule and Call

Monday through Friday, 7am to 3 or 4pm with flexible schedule. No call, no weekends, no holidays.

Compensation

$250 per hour. Fully paid malpractice insurance coverage.

Case Types

Orthopedic, general surgery, endoscopy, urology, ophthalmology, and podiatry cases.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures. Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent. Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients. Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitor patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed. Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Requirements

MD or DO from an accredited institution. Completion of Anesthesiology Residency. Board Eligible or Board Certified. Current medical licensure. ECFMG/FLEX if applicable.
