Position Overview

Chief Anesthesiologist role at OrthoVirginia Shrader in Richmond, VA. This is a leadership position directing anesthesia services for a large orthopedic group with an on-site operatory.

Compensation

Salary of $500K, chief stipend of $30K, and $100K sign-on incentive. Key Responsibilities

Assist in directing and coordinating activities in the Anesthesia Department. Provide medical management for patients under anesthesia during surgery and procedures. Perform pre-anesthesia assessment, obtain patient consent, discuss anesthetic options and risks, manage induction maintenance and emergence, monitor physiological condition, and perform clinical interventions as needed.

Case Mix

Routine outpatient orthopedics with focus on expanding a new outpatient total joint program for shoulders, knees, and hips.

Requirements

M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical college, ECFMG and FLEX certification, completion of an approved anesthesia residency, and current physician licensure.
