Position Overview

Per diem Anesthesiologist opportunity at Crouse Health Hospital in Syracuse, NY. The role operates in a care team model across the main hospital and three ambulatory surgery centers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures
• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent
• Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients
• Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
• Monitor patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed

Case Mix

General, GYN, Bariatrics, Robotics, Ortho, Spine, Crani's, Thoracic, Vascular, Urology/Renal, ENT, Eyes, Plastics, Podiatry, Endo, EP/Cath Lab, Healthy Peds. No open heart surgeries.

Compensation

Hourly rate of $300 (W-2 or 1099 options).

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution
• Completion of Anesthesiology Residency
• Board Eligible or Board Certified
• Current medical licensure
• ECFMG/FLEX if applicable

Syracuse is a medium-sized metropolitan area with restaurants, events, shopping, and outdoor activities including boating, hiking, skiing, and proximity to the Adirondacks, Thousand Islands, and Finger Lakes.
