Position Overview

Cardiac Anesthesiologist full-time position at St. David's Medical Center in Austin, TX. The practice serves St. David's Medical Center, North Austin Medical Center, South Austin Hospital, and Round Rock Medical Center under a care team model.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary $440K. Potential with call pay up to $570K. Cardiac specialty stipend $50K. Sign-on incentive $50K. Premium pay over 40 hours. Schedule & Call Requirements

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures. Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent. Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients. Manage induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia. Monitor patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed. Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited institution. Completion of anesthesiology residency. Board eligible or board certified. Current medical licensure. ECFMG/FLEX if applicable.

St. David's Medical Center is a 426-bed acute care hospital with a 64-bed rehabilitation hospital. It includes a 24-hour emergency department, Bariatric Surgery Center, and provides complex surgical services. Home to the Texas Cardiac Arrhythmia Institute and St. David's Neuroscience & Spine Institute.
