Position Overview

Cardiac Anesthesiologist role at UPMC Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA. The facility is a Level II trauma center with over 400 beds operating in a care team model.

Schedule & Call Requirements

26 weeks on/off schedule with options for 2 weeks on/2 weeks off or 7 days on/7 days off. No in-house call. No first or second call. Only third call. No OB cases. Some general cases, mainly cardiac.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive anesthesia care across surgical procedures. Perform pre-anesthesia evaluations and obtain informed consent. Develop and discuss anesthetic plans with patients. Manage induction, maintenance and emergence from anesthesia. Monitor patient's physiological condition and perform interventions as needed. Support departmental coordination and clinical leadership.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited institution. Completion of anesthesiology residency. Board eligible or board certified. Current medical licensure. ECFMG/FLEX if applicable.
