Position Overview

Sentara Anesthesiology Specialists seeks a BC/BE Anesthesiologist for a full-time employed position at Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC.

Schedule and Call

Compressed Monday through Friday schedule with week on/week off. Only four weekend shifts per year. Rotating shifts.

Practice Details

Bread-and-butter anesthesia practice. No cardiac, trauma, or acute pediatric cases. Care team model supporting eight sites daily across seven operating rooms plus Labor and Delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

Base pay range $388,024 to $623,917 annually. $75,000 sign-on and commencement bonus. Malpractice coverage with tail insurance. $7,500 annual CME allowance. Retirement plan with employer matching. Eligible for Public Service Loan Forgiveness as a 501(c)(3) organization. Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, PTO, parental leave, tuition assistance, and student debt pay down.

Elizabeth City, NC offers coastal community living with access to boating, fishing, and the Outer Banks beaches. Approximately 45 minutes from Norfolk and Virginia Beach.
