Position Overview

Medical Director Anesthesiologist position at Sentara Princess Anne Plastic Surgery Center in Virginia Beach, VA. This is an employed full-time role with Sentara Anesthesiology Specialists focused on office-based anesthesia for cosmetic surgery patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as Ambulatory Medical Director with oversight of regional ambulatory clinics including CRNA-staffed GI offices.
• Provide general and pediatric anesthesia and regional blocks.
• Monday-Friday schedule 8AM-5PM.

Qualifications

Board-certified anesthesiologist required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong clinical acumen in anesthesia care for cosmetic surgery patients. Leadership experience managing anesthesia teams in multiple ambulatory locations is a plus.

Schedule and Call

No nights, weekends, holidays, or call required.

Compensation and Benefits

Annual base salary range $388,024-$623,916.80. $75,000 sign-on bonus. $30,000 medical director stipend. $7,500 CME allowance. 8 weeks paid time off per year. Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, retirement plans with Sentara contribution, paid malpractice and tail insurance. PSLF eligible. Epic EMR.
