Position Overview

General anesthesiology position at a community hospital in Visalia, California. The role covers ortho, endo, trauma, and occasional OB cases with no cardiac work.

Schedule and Call

54-hour work week consisting of three 10-hour shifts plus one call day and post-call day off. Anesthesia residents are onsite 24/7 and take first call. CRNA support is available after 11pm.

Compensation

Compensation is $280-290 per hour as a 1099 independent contractor. Additional call pay is $1,000 on Saturday and $750 on Friday or Sunday. A $50,000 signing bonus and $100,000 student loan repayment are included. Total annual earnings are estimated at $695,520 or more.

Practice Details

All cases occur at one main hospital with 10-12 ORs daily. A robust anesthesia residency program is in place.
