Position Overview

Cardiac critical care anesthesiologist position at a physician-led health system and Louisiana's #1 ranked hospital. The role focuses on an expanding cardiac ICU within a 767-bed tertiary center.

Key Responsibilities

Work in a multidisciplinary environment alongside cardiothoracic surgeons, transplant specialists, and intensivists. Manage daily census of 10-15 patients with plans for expansion in 2026. Contribute to program development in cardiac critical care.

Schedule and Call Requirements

Flexible block schedule tailored to clinical interests. One weekend per month required.

Compensation & Benefits

48 days PTO annually.

767-bed tertiary center with full spectrum of cardiac surgery including ECMO, LVAD, IABP, cardiothoracic, transplant, and vascular surgery. Robust GME programs in cardiac anesthesia, critical care, and neurocritical care. Nationally recognized programs in cardiology, oncology, neuroscience, and transplant.
