Position Overview
Academic Anesthesiologist position at an academic medical center in Mobile, AL. Care team model with MDs supervising CRNAs across a diverse case mix.
Key Responsibilities
Case mix includes general, ortho, OB, GYN, neuro, vascular, endo, peds, trauma, ENT, and urology. Pediatric anesthesia team with fellowship-trained physicians.
Schedule and Call
8-hour shifts Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3 pm with flexible scheduling. In-house call with post-call day off. MDAs typically work 1 weekend per month.
Compensation and Benefits
Pay range $470,000 to $600,000 annually. 8 weeks of paid vacation, CME reimbursement, and paid education days.
Qualifications
Fellowship required for pediatric positions. Academic affiliation with a medical school training more than 240 residents and fellows. H-1B visa accepted; limited J-1 slots available for pediatric fellowship candidates.
