Position Overview

This is an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) - Urology position at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center in Saginaw, MI. The role focuses on independently managing a panel of patients with acute and chronic urological conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage patients with emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention
• Develop and implement individualized care plans
• Order and interpret labs, tests, and diagnostic studies
• Prescribe pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions
• Provide urological services in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and initiate referrals

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. No telework or virtual options.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range of $121,897 - $179,953 per year. Comprehensive federal benefits include 50 days of paid time off annually, traditional pension with 5-year vesting, 401K with up to 5% VA contribution, and federal health/vision/dental/long-term care insurance options.

Qualifications

Requires U.S. citizenship, English language proficiency, full and unrestricted license from any U.S. state or territory, and successful completion of pre-employment requirements including background investigation and physical evaluation.
