Position Overview
This is an intermittent CRNA position with the Defense Health Agency at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. The role involves providing anesthesia for a broad range of surgeries including pediatric, ENT, OB/GYN, orthopedics, oral maxillofacial, and GI procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Anesthetize patients using inhalation, regional, intravenous, local, or topical methods
- Determine appropriate anesthetic agents and administration methods
- Monitor patients' fluid loss
- Supervise student nurse anesthetists
- Support the Anesthesia Performance Improvement Program
Compensation
Salary range is $183,646 - $230,436 per year plus 1.49% COLA. Salary negotiation may be available for new federal employees.
Schedule
This is an intermittent "as needed" position that does not lead to full-time employment and does not include benefits.
