Position Overview

Full-time Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) position at the Providence VA Medical Center in Rhode Island. Administer anesthesia in inpatient and outpatient settings for patients of all health complexities. 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm with compressed/flexible options authorized. Night and weekend on-call required.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-anesthesia evaluation, preparation, induction, maintenance, emergence, and post-anesthesia care.
• Develop and implement comprehensive anesthesia plans for local, regional, general, and monitored anesthesia inside and outside the OR.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for patient safety and outcomes.
• Serve as resource for staff education, precept trainees, and act as adjunct clinical faculty.
• Prescribe preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative medications.
• Participate in emergency response and evidence-based practices.

Qualifications

• Master's or doctoral degree in nurse anesthesia from COA-accredited program.
• Unrestricted license from any US state or territory.
• U.S. citizenship preferred; proficient in English.
• Pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check.
• Participate in seasonal influenza vaccination program.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $183,003 - $265,297 per year (based on grade/step).
• PTO: 50 days/year (26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 federal holidays).
